Give Thanks

There are so many amazing things in my life that I forget to be thankful for each day! Thanksgiving really makes you think about everything in your life. I would like to use this post to share some of the things that I am the most thankful for this year!

- I am especially thankful for a God who loves me completely and endlessly no matter what I'm going through, how deep my sin is, how I look, what I wear, or how good I am at something!

- I'm super thankful for my family who is always there to support and help me.

- I am  blessed to have friends who love me, make me laugh, and listen to me.

- I'm so thankful for my cell group because they help me grow in Christ every second I'm with them and help me be completely real with what's going on in my life.

- I often take this for granted, but I'm thankful for a nice home with a warm bed and everything I need plus more.

- I'm grateful that I'm able to go to the best school in Arkansas and that I'm driven to make good grades.

- I'm thankful to be fortunate enough to be healthy and able to run.

- I'm always thankful for a cup of coffee from my favorite local coffee shop, Mama Carmen's.

- I am thankful that I have the confidence to be myself and not just like what everybody else does.

- Last, I'm thankful for this blog and for all of my readers!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Whether you feasted with family or friends, I hope you all had a good time. I urge you all to put together a list of what you are thankful for. It really opens up your eyes to all of the big and small blessings in your life! I had a photo shoot with Courtney yesterday with four different outfits, so be expecting new posts soon.

Keepin' Warm

Pac Sun top, abercrombie cardigan,

On some fall days, it's so chilly that you have to bundle up to keep from freezing. You need pieces that will keep you warm and looking stylish at the same time. This outfit features some of those!

Even when it's cold, you still want to stand out. The purple in the top is a gorgeous eye catching color! To add a little more to the outfit, put a navy cardigan over the top and add dark skinnies. A cute lace up ankle boot is the perfect shoe. The ear warmer, though, is the main feature of the outfit. It can keep your ears warm, hide a bad hair day, and make you look adorable all at the time time!

Red Cords

You guys know that I've been appreciating and leaning towards some edgier pieces lately. There's a certain something that I just love about a piece that's a little rough. In this outfit, it's my black combat boots. Since I received them as a gift on my birthday, I have been absolutely adoring them and wearing the beauties with everything.

I was considering purchasing red skinny jeans, but I wanted something different than what everyone else had. These boyfriend fit red cords were the perfect option! They stand out while being super comfortable. A grey and black striped shirt keeps the colors neutral on top. I wore my hair in a high ponytail to help play up the edginess.

Fall Lovin

Fall weather makes me so happy. It's cool enough where you can dress in your warm clothes, but not freezing. You can wear the cutest outfits with boots, sweaters and layering. I have good news! Today I took pictures for a couple different outfit posts. I already have the posts ready, so that all I need to do is press post when I'm free. Be checking back soon!
Target cardigan, Target shirt, Scarf from

This is a perfect fall outfit for me. What can be better than a cozy cardigan, scarf, and warm boots? Even though the cardigan is a brighter pink, I feel that it is still appropriate for fall when worn with the right things. One of my best friends got me the adorable scarf when she was in Paris this summer! It is the cutest thing in the world and I love it so much. To keep my feet nice and warm, I wore my grey cardigan Uggs.

Woo Pig Sooie

Even though it's sort of late in the football season I thought it would still be fun to do this post about Hog themed outfits. The Arkansas Razorbacks may not be having their best season this year, but they're getting better and I still support them. Going to their games and tailgating is one of my favorite things to do during the fall. Here are some outfits I would wear to do this:

Outfit One: I am absolutely in love with this grey Hogs tank! It's super cute, and it's the most comfortable thing ever. Not only that, but Courtney's mom designed it. If you live in Northwest Arkansas, you should go to Impressions and pick one up. I added in cuffed jeggings and my zebra Toms.

Outfit Two: This would be one to wear either earlier in the season or to a warmer game. My red shorts add extra Arkansas spirit when a Razorbacks shirt is tucked into them. I finished with grey Converse and a black cardigan to pull the look together a little more.

Outfit Three: This is the outfit best for fall tailgating. I've been wearing boots and long sleeves every chance I can get lately. Skinny jeans and this plain long sleeved red shirt started the outfit. A gold necklace with stars and tan riding boots completed the outfit. The pictures are an attempt at Woo Pig Sooie!

I just realized that it has been over a month since I last posted, and I am so sorry! This year has just been insane and busy. There hasn't been time to take pictures or work on posts. Speaking of pictures, Courtney took the amazing ones for this post. Thank you so much for still keeping up with the blog!

DIY: Bleached Shorts

It's time for a long awaited post! This DIY for bleaching shorts has been requested by so many people now. I'm so excited to finally have it to share with you all. If you just want to bleach your shorts, only follow to step three. For those of you who want the red ones, read the whole post!

Materials:
Pair of jeans to cut or denim shorts
Fabric scissors
Bleach
Red Rit liquid dye
Plastic tub
Rubber gloves

Instructions:
Step One: Cut your jeans into shorts of your desired length with the fabric scissors.
Step Two: Put your shorts in a tub with a mixture of half bleach and half water. Let them soak for a couple of hours. Be very careful not to get the bleach on anything else, and wear the rubber gloves.
Step Three: Wash and dry the shorts. Distress them with the fabric scissors.
Step Four: Follow the instructions on the Rit dye bottle and dye your shorts red.
Step Five: Rinse the shorts in the sink until the water runs clear. Wash and dry them by themselves.
Step Six: Go tailgating and support the Hogs with your new red shorts! :)

Fall/ Winter Wish List

I apologize for taking so long to post! I didn't realize how busy I would be with the start of school. I have a lot more time I have to commit to homework and studying, cross country, soccer, church, and friends now. I will do the best I can to keep posting.

As much as I don't want to admit it, summer, my favorite season is almost gone. Fall is my second favorite season though, because of the weather, my birthday, bonfires, Halloween and the fashion of course. I love making my annual fall wish list. Here is this year's:

Combat Boots- I have been looking at and wanting these combat boots since I saw them in the Steve Madden store last summer in New York. They can completely change any outfit from skinny jeans and a V-neck to a floral dress. I can see myself wearing them almost every day, even with my school uniforms.

{buy them here}

Floral Print Skinny Jeans- I actually already bought these, but I thought I would still put them on the list. I originally saw these in the August issue of Seventeen. They are such a statement that you can just wear a plain white top and sandals with them. I'm excited to see what different combinations that I can make with them.
{buy these here}

Leather Jacket- For a while, I have been looking for a faux leather bomber style jacket with just the right qualities. I wanted an affordable price, but one that didn't look super cheap. So far, I have found one from Topshop that I love, but I think I will end up going with the Aeropostale alternative.
{purchase it here}

Brandy Melville Jewelry- I'm pretty much in love with all of Brandy Melville's jewelry. All of it is perfect; the bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings. I'm hoping to order a bunch because I can wear it with my school uniforms.
{check it out here}

Flow-y red cardigan- This comfy cardigan would be perfect for Hog games and tailgating! Or I could just wear it for laying around the house or hanging out with friends. It would be very versatile if I paired it with basics.
{buy it here}

White Blazer- White blazers are a classic piece that I don't think will ever go out of style. You can put it over anything to make an outfit instantly look more put together and polished.
{see it here}

Navy Knit Sweater- A timeless piece like this can be worn so many ways. It looks good with almost anything, especially skinny jeans and riding boots. I would want to try layering it over a button up so that the collar shows.
{find it here}

Bright Button Down- I love the bright coral color of this blouse. The lighter pink accents it in an unexpected but sort of elegant way. I would wear this over and over.
{check it out here}

Floral Scarf- I wear scarves so much in the seasons that I can without dying of heatstroke! They can make any outfit more exciting and look like you put more thought into your clothes than you actually did. This one has such a fun, bright print that I love!
